Train the Trainer in First Aid

The Train the Trainer in First Aid course provides experienced personnel with the technical knowledge and instructional skills required to deliver effective first aid and cpr training within their organizations. The course covers hazards, risk assessment, control measures and safe working practices, together with adult-learning principles and the skills needed to plan, deliver, assess and evaluate training sessions. On completion of this course, learners should be able to: Understand the fundamental principles of first aid and cpr; Identify hazards associated with first aid and cpr and explain their potential consequences; Explain risk assessment and hierarchy of control principles; Apply safe working practices and appropriate control measures; Apply adult-learning principles and effective training-delivery techniques; Plan, deliver and evaluate training sessions and assess trainee competence. Learners completing the Train the Trainer in First Aid course should demonstrate an understanding of first aid and cpr hazards, risk-control measures and safe working practices, together with the training skills required to plan, deliver, assess and evaluate effective training within their organizations.
