Rescue and Evacuation from Height

The Rescue and Evacuation from Height course provides learners with fundamental knowledge of rescue and evacuation from height. The course focuses on recognizing hazards, assessing risks, applying suitable control measures, following safe systems of work, responding to emergencies and supporting a positive safety culture. On completion of this course, learners should be able to: Understand fundamental principles of rescue and evacuation from height; Identify common hazards and understand their potential consequences; Explain basic risk assessment and hierarchy of control principles; Apply safe working practices and suitable control measures; Explain basic emergency response principles; Understand PPE selection, safety reporting and basic safety-management practices. Learners completing the Rescue and Evacuation from Height course should demonstrate an understanding of fundamental rescue and evacuation from height principles, common hazards, risk-control measures, safe working practices, emergency response, PPE and basic safety- management requirements.
